What the images represent

The current Hero combines four AI-generated conceptual illustrations with two previously recorded Seoul street videos. The principal article thumbnails remain conceptual imagery. Illustrations are not documentary photographs of actual named venues, events, community members or precise streets. No person’s sexual orientation is inferred from appearance. Recorded city footage does not establish that the publisher visited a location or that an LGBTQ+ gathering took place there.

Current Hero: six scenes

The v2.6.3.1 rotation preserves the user-selected six-scene order. The former first illustration, “A place to connect”, appears last. The four illustration scenes remain still images, without artificial pan-and-zoom loops. The two recorded scenes are shown as video when motion is available, with a still-image fallback. No scene is a live camera.

  2. The city at your pace — Generated editorial illustration.
  3. Space for yourself — Generated editorial illustration.
  4. Seoul after dark — Recorded Pexels video 31801696.
  5. City movement — Recorded Pexels video 26690703.
  6. A place to connect — Generated editorial illustration; moved from first to last.

The generated illustrations were cropped from one four-panel composition created for Kaydar on 8 September 2026. Their original locally generated motion loops were pan-and-zoom treatments and did not represent real filmed activity. Those older MP4 files are retained in the release assets for provenance and rollback, but are not used by this Hero. The current controller is /assets/identity-v263/hero.js. The original video source files were not downloaded, re-encoded or bundled into this release; the browser requests them directly from Pexels when needed. Their exact runtime availability and playback quality depend on the provider and the visitor’s network.

Recorded footage and source credits

The following sources are the only recorded video scenes in the current Hero. They are stock footage of public city environments, not evidence of a particular LGBTQ+ event, venue, person or visit. Pexels identifies the creators and provides the footage under its platform license. Source availability and additional rights involving identifiable people, trademarks or other protected material require appropriate review.

The source URLs were recovered from earlier Kaydar media records. Both source pages were reviewed again on 9 September 2026. The original media files could not be downloaded and decoded in the preparation environment, so no claim of newly completed video editing, byte-level rights verification or production playback certification is made. If a source becomes unavailable or a rights concern is substantiated, Kaydar will replace or remove it rather than mislabel another video as the original.

These conceptual images were selected to match the editorial subjects, not to depict a verified real business or an identified person. The files are served locally. A small number of inherited documentary photographs and legacy artwork may remain elsewhere in the site; their original attribution and rights records must be checked before any new use. An external URL or generic platform license alone is not a complete rights clearance.

Official community media and live status

The Community Media desk links to the official Seoul Queer Culture Festival, Korea Queer Film Festival and their published material. The June 2026 dates are historical. No current LGBTQ+ community livestream was independently verified for this release, so no unconfirmed broadcaster is described as currently live. Festival footage has not been copied, cropped, rehosted or automatically embedded. The organizer’s use restrictions must be respected; permission is required before any separate background-video use.

Historical media configurations

Earlier Kaydar releases used different Pexels footage combinations, locally generated motion loops and YouTube live-channel references. The v2.6.3.1 Hero reuses only recorded Pexels sources 31801696 and 26690703. Other historical source references are preserved in offline archives and are not active Hero media. No broadcaster or recorded source is described as live without current verification.

Rights concerns and corrections

If you believe an image, source or video has been attributed incorrectly or used without sufficient permission, contact contact@kaydar.net with the page or asset URL and relevant evidence. We will investigate and correct or remove material where appropriate. A credit is not a substitute for a required license or permission.
